Tissues and issues.
It’s been 2 days past my 19th birthday and I’m already starting to feel older. WAY older. Oh, I’m falling sick too. I’m close to finishing one entire box of tissue, my eyes are constantly tearing and my nose is redder than Rudolph’s. I’ve tried drinking tonnes of water as well as making myself a nice hot drink but none of them work and now I’m visiting the toilet every 5 to 10 minutes. :( I hope my blocked nose clears up! I think the best remedy is to sleep but Survivor: Heroes VS Villains, Make It Or Break It as well as Hell’s Kitchen are such awesome shows, I can’t seem to move my ass away from the chair.
I’ve decided to have a baking day next week! :D I’m going to bake really awesome carrot cake from scratch. Let’s hope it’ll turn out great! I never tried baking that before so good luck to me! Otherwise, I can always just bake my chocolate souffle thing. :) I’m in need of an assistant though. Who wants to help out! :D All you have to do is to help me make a mess of my kitchen. I’ll provide the ingredients and tools. :) I’m not baking cheesecakes because Bakerzin had some stupid “Buy 2 cheesecakes for $48” promotion so being the kiasu Singaporean my mum is, she bought 2 and put it in the freezer. So I get to eat a slice (or more :P) of cheesecake everyday, anytime I feel like it. In my defense, it can only be kept for a month in the freezer so I’m doing my part by consuming it before it turns bad!
I finally got to have dinner at the P.S Cafe at Palais Renaissance on Monday! That place is really gorgeous and cosy. It’s nicer than the one at Dempsey! And it’s less of a hassle to get there too, particularly since I don’t drive. By the way, the glass shelter lookalike thing in the centre is NOT a smoking area, an emergency escape OR a place for bands to play their music. It’s just there for decorations and for access to this spiral staircase.The staff there were attentive but rather unfamiliar with the menu and stuff. Like when I asked for recommendations, the waiter that took our orders stood there for a good 2 minutes waving his finger around trying to decide which entrees were worth recommending. I got to sit there for a good 3 hours catching up with Delia and Anqi. And of course, playing with the balloons which they got me.
I swear, balloons annoy me alot especially when I have to carry them around. I swear I hit at least 10 peoples’ faces with my balloons walking from the Starbucks at Liat Towers to Palais Renaissance. The wind kept blowing the balloons and they were out of my control. I’m very glad that I only needed to carry one balloon home and it’s still floating nicely next to my laptop. :D
Okay I am off to watch my shows now. YAY TO TECHNOLOGY. :D
